Come for the first inaugural celebration of Trout in Margaretville! A festival for all ages debuting a public art project with trout decorated by local artists and will celebrate with all manner of trout themed activities. There will be trout kite-making, trout cookie decorating, trout chocolate, wine tasting and more! Grab a map, take a walk and discover all of the fun to be had in the Village.

A marvelous day of activities, including:

Trout Cookie Decorating: at Homegoods of Margaretville
Fly-Tying with Expert Angler Lenny Millen: 12 to 2 PM at Catskill Seasons Ltd
Something Fishy in Margaretville Art Show: 10 AM to 5 PM a special trout-themed show at the Longyear Gallery
Make a Trout Kite:  10 AM to 4 PM kite-making in the shape of a trout for kids with Catskill Mountain Artisans Guild
Booksale at Fairview Public Library: 9 AM to 3 PM
NYS DEC Free Fishing Clinic for kids: 11 AM to 3 PM, sponsored by the Central Catskills Chamber of Commerce and the Village of Margaretville
Public Art Project: Learn about the upcoming public art project featuring painted trout – local artists are working on them now and will be placing them on Main and Bridge Streets from Memorial until Labor Day.  They will be auctioned off at a Friday evening event on August 31st.
